As Bourbon Offshore Surf Referent Bosun, you will directly report to the HSEQ & Projects Director.
In this role, you will be responsible for :
Assessing the performance of the deck team on board BOS vessels
- Safety: in charge to review the level of safety awareness of the deck team by checking the application of safety measures while Bosun and Abs are working
- Maintenance: In charge to review and inspect the maintenance realized by the Bosun and his team. Specific focus shall be on quality of the maintenance jobs realized.
- Application of procedures: In charge to assess the proper application of the procedures involving the deck team, including but not limited to: Sea fastening / Mooring and unmooring operations / Dry and wet bulk operation / Rigging management / Pilot ladder deployment / FRC deployment / Provision crane management / Deck cargo operation / Signals and communication with crane Operators./Dropping anchor
Training to Bosun and ABs on board the vessel
- Safety: Explanation of the PPE Matrix / How to perform proper work preparation / B safe card management and purpose / Tool management / Review of the incident on the fleet involving Bosun and ABs
- Maintenance: Specific focus on deck equipment proper maintenance / How to properly chip and paint on deck / Proper deck storage / Vessel product connections maintenance.
- Application of procedures: Perform training for Sea fastening / Mooring and unmooring operations / Dry and wet bulk operation / Rigging management / Pilot ladder deployment / FRC deployment / Provision crane management / Deck cargo operation / Signals and communication with crane Operators.
Assessing the performance of Bosuns acting on board BOS vessels
At the end of the visit on board Referent Bosun shall perform a proper assessment of the Bosun using Bourbon Performance appraisal document.
You have a significant back ground as Bosun within Bourbon. AHTS and PSV experience required.
You have a good understanding of SMS, Bourbon policies and thorough knowledge of deck operations on board AHTS & PSV, offshore supply vessels and crew boat operations.
You have a strong ability to perform analysis.
You know how to use Digital tools such as I Auditor.
You are known for being well organised, rigorous with good interpersonal skills and pedagogical skills
