Roles and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly and yearly closing of accounts;
  • Ensure both Accounts Receivable and Payable sub ledgers are accurate and clean;
  • Review and ensure accurateness of Accounts Payable backcharge on a monthly basis;
  • Prepare accurate invoicing data in terms of payroll, insurance and training expenses on a monthly basis;
  • Prepare, send and record the month end accruals for the internal clients;
    Highlight problematic customers and propose solutions to recover the debt;
  • Provide accurate cash projections and close monitoring of funds on all the bank accounts in order to cater for the salaries and suppliers’ payments;
  • Review of general ledger accounts and make necessary journal entries including posting monthly accruals in accordance to Bourbon Standards and with corporate deadlines;
  • Responsible for an accurate Fixed Asset Management;
  • Ensure a timely monthly closing, intercompany reconciliation and balance sheet accounts reconciliations;
  • Support Finance Manager/Cost Control in the budget preparation and propose new solutions;
  • Liaise with Internal and External Auditors;
  • Responsible for the submission of VAT/TDS/CTX and handle MRA queries.
  • Perform any other cognate duties as may be required by Management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

• Hold a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or ACCA Level 2 or any other acceptable relevant qualification;
• Proven experience in general ledger management, month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
• Sound organisation skills and rigorous with a professional approach at all times;
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize matters and meet deadlines;
• Willing to work independently and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment;
• Have an excellent knowledge of MS Office/ Excel skills; and
• A good command of French and English is essential.
