Roles and responsibilities

To assist the IT manager in ensuring functional and secured IT network and support to site and vessels:

To comply with IT Best Practices and standards.

To design and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect systems and data from various threats.

To monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity, potential vulnerabilities, and security breaches using various tools and techniques.

To conduct regular assessments to identify weaknesses in systems and applications and simulate attacks to test the effectiveness of security measures. 

To investigate any event/threat, identify the root cause, and implement appropriate measures to contain damage and prevent future occurrences.

To support externa Network management and cybersecurity service providers to accomplish targets set on SLAs

Working with vendors to procure equipment and services and managing vendor relationships. 

Implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure protocols

Monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring optimal network operation. 

Managing network projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and documentation. .

Ensures that Documentation of all Network resources are made.

Creating and maintaining accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

To provide Periodic Cyber security reports to management which provides overview of BINL security posture, key threats and mitigation strategies.

Optimization of Telecommunications costs for all BINL sites.

Ensure proper and on time maintenance on communication and navigational system on BINL vessels.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

Bsc / HND in Information Technology,/Computer Science or a related discipline

Masters Degree will be an added advantage

Possession of CCNP is mandatory

Experience with specific technologies and platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft) is mandatory

At least one of these certifications (CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
