Crew Manager


Duties & Responsibilities


The mission is to man Vessel with competent and engaged Offshore personnel at optimized cost.

In order to achieve this you will be in charge of the following:


  • Ensure that regulations & Bourbon standards and requirements are implemented  in BOG Offshore Personnel’ management and vessels manning;
  • Supervise BOG vessels manning in accordance with Operations requirements;
  • Follow up BOG crewing performance indicators, fill in performance reports, implement and follow on corrective actions and ensure reviews are filled in on time by BOG crewing teammates
  • Assist in preparation of audits, participate to audit as stakeholder and be pro-active in finding solution to corrective actions and ensure follow up of implementation.
  • Ensure proper use and update of crewing tools;
  • Design enhanced crewing tools and ensures effective use. 
    Follow on BOG Offshore Personnel retention & consistency, prepare succession plan, develop and implement career management.
  • Act as point of contact for BOG seafarers for extra-ordinary matters
  • Deter any potential complaint from Offshore Personnel against BOG crewing team’s way of management.
  • Lead, coach, organize, supervise and motivate the BOG Crewing team.
  • Responsible for after hours calls related to crewing.
  • Ensure BOG crewing cost optimization. 
  • Ensure Offshore Personnel’ s data properly recorded for seamless payroll process.
  • Ensure communication efficiency  between BOG crewing team and stakeholders (Operations, Offshore Personnel, suppliers)
  • Provide support to crewing teammates in the office when necessary. 

The Crew Manager is linked functionally and hierarchically to the Deputy Managing Director.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

Your profile:

  • Degree in Management/ HR Management or Equivalent
    2 years’ experience in Crewing in a Management position, or relevant experience in similar position in Crewing or in Maritime or Oil and Gas company
  • Experience in Bourbon will be an advantage
  • You have excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • You have a strong leadership, experience in multicultural team management
  • You are able to work with appropriate software and planning tools
  • You have a good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint);
  • A perfect command of English is mandatory
