Roles and responsibilities

Job Summary


The mission will be to:

• Act as interface between Management/Finance and operational departments in order to control cost and profitability.

• Be responsible for the cost control of the company fleet.

• Provide Managers with monitoring tools (e.g. budget delivery appraisal). 

 

Duties & Responsibilities


• Participate in the preparation and delivery of operating expense (OPEX) budget and reports.

• Conduct monthly operational and financial meetings with relevant analysis reported and action plan.

• Provide a clear vision of the gap between actual and budget.

• Prepare monthly corporate report and cost control report per vessel/cluster.

• Assist in the execution and implementation of analytical report at the request of Managers and/or Superintendents.

• Provide weekly follow-up for capital expenditure (CAPEX), various reports and vessel maintenance projects.

• Analyze consolidated data and performance as well as how to check the dashboard / financial information reported.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of figures according to requirements and deadlines.

• Establish monthly ship management fees and ensure completeness and steadiness of invoicing as per ship management contracts.

• Follow vessels status: operational, stacked and reactivated.

• Ensure that adequate assistance is provided to operational and technical team where required.

• Accurate and timely record of vessel maintenance projects costs and back charge.

• Provide other value-added analytical reports whenever required.

• Perform any other cognate duties as may be required by the Management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

Your profile
• Hold at least a diploma in Finance or in Business Management or have followed ACCA studies;

• Have minimum 2 - 3 years relevant experience as Cost Controller, preferably in a multinational company performing operations linked with foreign currencies transactions;

• Knowledge of Marine Industry and/ or oil and gas industry will be a plus;

• Have excellent knowledge of MS Office/ Excel skills (master some of its advanced functionality such as Advanced Formulas, tables and conditional formatting, advanced charting, pivot table and pivot reporting, VBA and macros, data table simulations and solvers, integrating excel with other tools (BI System), and you have experience in working on following software: ORACLE or SAP BPC

• Proven experience of data collection, data mining, data analysis, benchmarking and statistical techniques;

• Ability to elaborate budgets and forecasts and how to follow up profitability as well as margin and activity analysis;

• Sound organization skills and able to interact, produce and report with a professional approach at all times;

• Have a detail-oriented mindset and pay attention to details;

• Work independently and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment; and

• A perfect command of French and English is mandatory.
