Roles and responsibilities

 

Campboss Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Work under the direction of the Master
  • Manage ship's catering and accomodation services in an efficient manner
  • Committed to safety and company procédures
  • Manage and guide catering staff, supervise the stewards as necessary
  • Make regular inspections and responsible for the cleanliness of the galley and services areas, freezers, cool rooms and provision stores, cooking equipment, reporting any failure to the Engineers for reparis
  • Plan menu and expenditure control within approved budget
  • Responsible for the preparation, cooking, presentation and service of all meals

Cook Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Work under the direction of the Master or the camp Boss
  • Responsible for the preparation of meals for the crew, passengers and visitors
  • Committed to safety and company procédures
  • Responsible for food inventories and preparing provision orders for Master
  • Strong commitment  to the company hygiene standards
  • Ensure good condition of the galley and other related equipment ,reporting any failure to the engineers for repairs

Steward/Messman Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare the mess and serve food for the crew, passengers and visitors on board
  • Keep the galley, mess-rooms, common areas, all related storage areas, including cold storage areas in a high condition of sanitation and otherwise neat, tidy and clean
  • Committed to safety and company procédures

  • West Africa (Angola, Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast,...)
  • Persian Gulf (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE)

Maximum rotation (in average):

  • 120 days on/off

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

 

Our minimum requirements:

  • MLC Ship Cook certificate (for Campboss and Cook)
  • Food handling certificate
  • Hepatitis A vaccination
  • Typhoid vaccination
