Roles and responsibilities

Manage Fleet Performance Project in the frame of Smart Shipping Programme. Ambition of this project is to reinvent the entire Client Satisfaction Chain to gain efficiency and reduce non-quality.

Establish the "as-is" cartography of the existing processes participating to the Client Satisfaction Chain

o Perform analysis of the processes and identify the areas of simplification, streamlining and digitalization.

o Develop road map and budget to revamp processes, to adapt organizations and to implement

Perform technology intelligence in Shipping Digitalization.

Propose new initiatives in cost reduction and efficiency in his/her field.

Contribute to other Smart Shipping Project(s).

 Fleet Performance Project management

Project Steering

o Steer Project through maturity gates ensuring formal approval at each step

o Ensure that all project expected results are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

o Staff and manage project team

o Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff

o Monitor and report on project milestones, schedule, financials as per Programme Quality Plan requirements

o Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of project

o Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

o Perform risk management to minimize project risks

o Lead quality assurance as per Programme Quality Plan requirements

Design & Engineering

o Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement

o Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization stratégies

Manage technical, regulatory and operational, contractual gap analysis

o Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements

o Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings

o Lead for ‘To be’ process(es) and/or tool(s) operational and technical specifications review with technical partners/experts as well as training requirements and obtain validation from Process Owners and end users

o Performing user acceptance testing and obtain validation from Process Owners and end users

o Ensure deployment budget and schedule and global approval by Steering Committee (Maturity Gate #4)

Pilot/POC Management

o Define pilot/POC phase expectations (scope, duration, budget) and obtain approval by Steering Committee (Maturity Gate #4)

o Steer pilot/POC phase, ensure return of experience assessment, adjust deployment accordingly and obtain approval by Steering Committee (Maturity Gate #5)

 Deployment

o Ensure qualitative, timely and budget compliant deployment

o Frame deployment with proper Risk Assessment

o Ensure ‘To be’ process(es) and/or tool(s) final handover to end users with due records

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences


A Master’s degree in Engineering and/or business

A minimum of 5 years experience in Ship Management.

3 years experience in business analysis or a related field with Project Management role is a plus.
