Roles and responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability, security, and proper functioning of IT systems and infrastructure at the branch and on assigned vessels, guaranteeing full compliance with corporate standards while supporting local operations.
  • Administration of servers, systems, backups, and UPS devices at the branch and on vessels.
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations and local applications.
  • Monitoring and supervision of IT infrastructure operations.
  • Supporting budget preparation by providing technical input.
  • Technical Support – Level 1/2, Level 1: Initial troubleshooting and resolution of user-reported incidents for offices and vessels, including workstation, application, and basic network issues. Level 2: Diagnosis and resolution of incidents.
  • Implementation of Corporate IT guidelines and procedures for systems, networks, and security.
  • Local AD / Messaging Management (within delegated scope), Creation and first-level management of user accounts, distribution of local policies, access control according to delegation.
  • Perform IT support and maintenance for vessels under the local perimeter.
  • Execute technical troubleshooting and maintenance on vessels under branch responsibility.
  • Implement and maintain satellite links and onboard networks, ensuring proper operation and connectivity.
  • Supervision of satellite links, VPNs, and dedicated lines to vessels and offices.
  • Reporting technical anomalies and coordinating with Corporate IT and service providers.
  • Inventory management, hardware renewal, and local license administration.
  • Documentation & Projects: Preparation of local technical documentation, Support for infrastructure projects and upgrades

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in Systems/server administration;
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, backups, AD and cybersecurity principles;
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and server-related issues.
  • Ability to manage and support remote sites and vessels, ensuring operational continuity.
  • Strong organizational skills with a rigorous and methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
