Vessel Internal Auditor M/F

Roles and responsibilities

Reporting to the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for :

 

  • Planning audits for the entire fleet;
  • Carry out internal audits (ISM / ISPS / MLC) on selected ships, either remotely or on board;
  • Contribute to the assessment and mapping of risks identified during audits;
  • Participate in the development of audit and inspection tools;
  • Develop and coach the skills of local auditors;
  • Support BOS departments in the implementation and application of the SMS by seafarers;
  • Communicate on the audit and inspection process and tools;
  • Coordinate local auditors for ship visits;
  • Analyzing non-conformity trends and monitoring the completion of corrective actions.
  • Taking part in workshops to improve the management system (process owners, vessel managers).

 

International travel is to be expected.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • Marine officer – 4‐5 years minimum of experience in offshore industry;
  • Qualification of ISM/ISPS Internal Auditor;
  • You have a good command of Pack Office and internal tools;
  • Your ability to implement an action plan and follow-up, and to ensure regular reporting, are the qualities needed to succeed in this position.
  • You have worked in the maritime sector and are familiar with international regulations and standards (ISM / ISPS / SOLAS / MARPOL / OVID / OVMSA).
  • Ideally, you will have project management skills and experience;
  • A good level of English is necessary for this position. (read written and spoken)

A good knowledge of Bourbon vessels would be an asset. However, solid experience in offshore and oil and gas would also be a plus.
